Duw Abra(h)'m molwch ef (Yr Hwn sydd Frenin fry)

The God of Abraham praise

1,2,(3,4).

Duw Abra'm, molwch ef,
  Yr Hwn sydd Frenin fry;
Yr Hen-ddihenydd ddaeth o'r nef
  I'n prynu ni.
Jehofah mawr yw ef
  Medd nef a daear lawr;
Bendigaf byth ā llafar lef
  Ei enw mawr.

Duw Abr'am, molwch ef,
  Wrth ei orchymyn mawr;
Fy enaid dyrcha ' fyny i'r nef
  Or ddaear lawr;
'Rwy'n adael yr holl fyd,
  Doethineb, parch a bri,
Bydd ef yn darian, castell clud,
  A'm gwobr i.

Duw Abr'am, molwch ef,
  Ei holl ddigonol ras
A'm tywys i yn dedwydd trwy,
  Bob croes i ma's:
Bydd ef i mi yn Dduw,
  'Fe gymmerth fy holl boen
Ac ef a'm ceidw tra fo'i byw
  Trwy waed yr Oen.

Fe ydyngodd iddo ei hun
  'Rwy'n pwyso ar ei air:
Mi gaf ar aden ffydd fy nwyn,
 I'r nef ddisglaer:
Caf wel'd ei wyneb-pryd,
  Ymgrymmu ger ei fron,
A'm cān am ryfedd ras o hyd,
  Dros byth yn llon.

The God of Abraham, praise him!
  He who is the King above -
The Ancient of Days who came from heaven,
  To redeem us.
Great Jehovah is He,
  Say heaven and earth below;
I will bless forever with a loud cry
  His great name.

The God of Abraham, praise him!
  At his great command;
My soul shall rise up to heaven
  From earth below;
I am leaving the whole world,
  Wisdom, honour and esteem,
He shall be a shield, a secure castle,
  And my reward.

The God of Abraham, praise him,
  His all-sufficient grace
Shall lead me happily out,
  Through every cross:
He shall be God to me,
  He shall helps all my pain
And he shall keep me while I live
  Through the blood of the Lamb.

He swore my himself
  I am leaning on his word:
I shall get borne on wings of faith,
  To radiant heaven:
I shall get to see his countenance,
  Bow before him,
And my song about wonderful grace always,
  Be forever cheerful.
tr. 2016,20 Richard B Gillion

The God of Abraham praise,
  Who reigns enthroned above;
Ancient of everlasting days,
  And God of perfect Love.
Jehovah, great I AM!
  By earth and heav'n confest;
I bow and bless the sacred Name,
  For ever, ever blessed.

The God of Abraham praise,
  At whose supreme command,
From earth I rise and seek the joys
  At his right hand;
I all on earth forsake,
  Its wisdom love and power;
And him my only portion make,
  My shield and tower.

The God of Abraham praise,
  Whose all sufficient grace
Shall guide me all my happy days,
  In all my ways.
He calls a worm His friend,
  He calls Himself my God!
And He shall save me to the end,
  Through Jesu's blood.

He by Himself has sworn;
  I on His oath depend,
I shall, on eagle wings upborne,
  To heav'n ascend.
I shall behold His face;
  I shall His power adore,
And sing the wonders of His grace
  Forevermore.
